Once upon a time, the bookplate was a “guard” sign so that your favorite books would not irrevocably disappear from the shelves. Now it is a charming genre of book graphics and a decoration of any personal library. Just as the bookplate contains metaphors and symbols that are important to the owner, so the “Ex-libris” brooch with an attractive stack of books of different formats can be special thanks to the stones and coatings that decorate the silver roots.
